2 DAY - Small Group Improvers Portrait Painting Workshop

Date – Wed 10th & Thur 11th Sept 2025

Time – 10am - 4 pm

Location – ‘Palais Des Vaches’ Gallery, Lower Exbury Farm, Inchmery Lane, Exbury, Southampton.

This workshop is an opportunity to work in a friendly and relaxed location. It is a tutored session with Stewart Beckett, Landscape and Portrait Painter. It will be a fun session for intermediate and experienced painters. Working from a live model our goal will be to create a drawing study and develop it into a painting in the session. As a small group we will focus on directed development of your painting and understanding of the process.

The aims of the workshop:

• To learn how to work with paints.
• To develop and understand what makes an interesting composition
• To confidently progress the painting with helpful and supportive tuition.
• To feel more adapt at practicing painting on your own.

All materials are included. Please bring a packed lunch. 

Coffee, Tea and Biscuits will be provided.

You are advised to wear old clothes or bring an apron to the session as it could get messy!
