2 DAY - Coastal Painting Workshop

Date – Thu 18th - Fri 19th Sept 2025

Time – 10am - 4 pm

Location – ‘Palais Des Vaches’ Gallery, Lower Exbury Farm, Inchmery Lane, Exbury, Southampton.

This workshop is an opportunity to work in a friendly and relaxed location. It is a tutored session with Stewart Beckett, Landscape and Portrait Painter. It will be a fun session for beginner and experienced painters. Working from photo reference our goal will be to create some small studies and one big painting in the session. Using different tools like rag, brushes, pallet knife, acrylics, and gesso, to create atmospheric landscape art work.

The aims of the workshop:

• To learn how to work with paints.
• To develop and understand what makes an interesting composition
• To confidently progress the painting with helpful and supportive tuition.
• To feel more adapt at practicing painting on your own.

All materials are included. Please bring a packed lunch. 

Coffee, Tea and Biscuits will be provided.

You are advised to wear old clothes or bring an apron to the session as it could get messy!
