1 DAY - 'En Plein Air' Painting Workshop

Date – Sat 7th Jun 2025

Time – 10am - 4 pm

Location – ‘Palais Des Vaches’ Gallery, Lower Exbury Farm, Inchmery Lane, Exbury, Southampton.

This workshop is an opportunity to work in a friendly and relaxed location. It is a tutored session with Stewart Beckett, Landscape and Portrait Painter. It will be a fun session for beginners and intermediate painters. Working on location we will capture some of the beautiful views around the gallery in the grounds (Weather Permitting). In the case of bad weather in side locations will be sort. You will need a field easel for this session, all other materials are provided.

The aims of the workshop:

• To learn how to work with paints on location
• To develop and understand what makes an interesting composition
• To confidently progress the painting with helpful and supportive tuition.
• To feel more adapt at practicing painting on your own.

All materials are included. Please bring a packed lunch. 

Coffee, Tea and Biscuits will be provided.

You are advised to wear old clothes or bring an apron to the session as it could get messy!
