1 DAY - Drawing to Improve Workshop

Date – Thurs 5th Mar 2026
Time – 10am - 4 pm
Location – ‘Palais Des Vaches’ Gallery, Lower Exbury Farm, Inchmery Lane, Exbury, Southampton.
This workshop is an opportunity to work in a friendly and relaxed location. It is a tutored session with Stewart Beckett, Landscape and Portrait Painter. Drawing is a fundamental component and as such any improvements in it can enhance the painting process. In this workshop we will be looking at Perspective, Proportions, Tone, and Line quality with various drawing studies from photo reference. Using Pencils, Charcoal and Rubber.
The aims of the workshop:
- To learn how to work with various drawing mediums.
- To develop and understand what makes an interesting composition
- To confidently progress your drawing practice with helpful and supportive tuition.
All materials are included. Please bring a packed lunch.
Coffee, Tea and Biscuits will be provided.
You are advised to wear old clothes or bring an apron to the session as it could get messy!
